THE AIM OF THE MASTER'S PROGRAM

The Postgraduate Program in “Mental Health” aims to provide students with knowledge and raise their awareness of general subjects such as research methodology, biostatistics, communication and interpersonal relationships. It also offers specialized courses covering key areas of mental health, including special topics in psychiatry and psychiatric nursing, social and community psychiatry, child and adolescent psychopathology, therapeutic interventions—both psychosocial interventions and psychopharmacology—as well as specific topics such as addictions and the psychosocial support of refugees and migrants.

Learning is facilitated through both theoretical and experiential approaches. Postgraduate students take an active role in the learning process and are guided in acquiring knowledge and applying it in clinical practice, while developing their critical thinking through research.

The Program aims to provide graduates with specialized scientific training and the appropriate qualifications to pursue employment in relevant professional settings in Greece or abroad.

Upon the full and successful completion of the prescribed curriculum, the Program leads to the award of a Master’s Degree in “Mental Health.”
